Ours has always been built around making things with care.

For years, our family has been known for handcrafted woodworking through Stubby K Studio, where craftsmanship and quality guide everything we build.

As our story grows, so does our passion for another timeless craft, baking.

She wasn’t teaching me how to bake. She was teaching me how to care.

Long before PieKarz Street Bagel Company was ever imagined, my education began in my grandparents’ home near Cleveland, Ohio.

Their neighborhood was a wonderful mix of Polish, Slovenian, Jewish, Irish, Italian and hardworking American Families where recipes, traditions, and craftsmanship were simply part of everyday life.

As a little girl, I learned to sew, bake, cook and make things with my hands.

My grandmother believed there was a right way to do everything, and she wasn’t afraid to make me do it over until it was done correctly.

At the time, I thought she was being tough. Today, I realize she was teaching me something far more valuable than recipes—she was teaching patience, pride in craftsmanship, and respect for doing honest work well.

Those lessons still guide every batch we bake today.

PieKarz Street Bagel Company was born from cherished family recipes, heritage, and the traditions of the Polish-Jewish neighborhoods around Cleveland, where good food and good company were simply part of life.

Our name comes from the Polish word for 'the baker', honoring generations of artisans who believed that anything worth making is worth making well.

Today, we create traditional bagels, naturally fermented sourdough breads, cookies and other family inspired baked goods with quality ingredients and time-honored methods.

Our breads, bagels and treats are offered fresh as available.

Our fresh locked bagels are frozen at peak freshness so they're ready when you are.

You'll find us at The PieKarz Table @ The Whitehall Exchange, our primary pickup location, where we're honored to share another chapter of our family's craftsmanship. One that's meant to be gathered around, enjoyed together and passed along.
